Geraniums and Sewing Baskets.

Enjoy
Thank-you all for all your kind comments.  I've enjoyed reading every one of them.  I hope your Christmas and New Year was as brilliant as mine was.

                                    I have a new purchase.

Something that really makes me glad every time I look at it.

I've placed it at the front door, so that every time I come in and out- it makes me smile.  Lifts my heart and makes my day.

  Here it is...

Geranium 2

  Geranium

Sometimes, it's just something small and cherished that gives you enormous pleasure and makes your heart sing.

  Doesn't have to be expensive.

But when you look at it - it brings out the smiles.

That's the way it is with my geranium.

And stitching. There's nothing nicer than to find a cosy spot to sit and stitch.

These are the things that feed the soul. A necessary part of being.

                                     Just little things.

Here it is- your first project for the year.

                              The Girls Own Sewing Basket.

Easy to make- and you can keep all your sewing bits and pieces in one place. It comes with its own scissor keep- and you can use the needle keep we made last year for your needles.  And keep everything in the pockets.

Ric rac
Jumbo ric rac

I've given you a small amount of embroidery to do on the Jumbo ric rac.  Just for a different look. If you don't want to embroider the ric rac- just attach as you would do normally.

This is a great little bag for holding a project, scissors, patterns and various other odds and ends.

I thought it would be something that everyone needs!

NEXT TIME!   I have a really gorgeous little Scissor Keep for you to make.  It looks like a strawberry- but the top folds back to reveal your needlework scissors!

And there's a little beading! Just for excitement!

                             You'll be busy this weekend!

NEXT TIME: I'll also have more details about the Girls Own Stitching Club!

Just beautiful, Thanks Bronwyn!

OMG(oodness) that is really beautiful Bronwyn. What a treat for the start of the year.So here goes. Geraniums are delightful and such vibrant colouring. My neighbour gave me a snip to start off of a dark, dark red, almost blacky tinged. It grew easily and is in full bloom now and so lovely. I have others as well.Yes they do make you smile and give so much pleasure. Thank you for the pattern. Shirley. N.Z.

Will start ASAP. Tyty

Just gorgeous as always Bronwyn. I'm in a real sewing/designing slump at the moment, unfortunately. :( The move into our new home has taken all this time (since earlyish December) and something which is very unusual for me is that I just don't feel like sewing or even designing anything new!! I've got a lovely studio now with lots of room etc so that's no excuse either! I know I'll get back to it eventually :) You inspire me always! Cheers Jan

Thanks so much Bronwyn for the cute bag.

Yes I must take time out to enjoy those around me..

Sandyn

Thanks Bronwyn. The bag is just gorgeous. Hugs,xx.

This bag is so gorgeous Bronwyn. Thank you very much for your kindness and generosity in sharing the pattern. I have some geraniums in my garden too and they are always flowering and look cheerful. Cheers.

Cute! It feels like a glimpse of summer, lovely! Thank you!

I so love this project and Geraniums are one of my favouritest flowers of all time...so easy to care for, propagate and so delicate and pretty, but hardy.....just like us women.....well maybe not so much of the propagating (lol)
I am so looking forward to each project. Thanks for your lovely designing brain

Love your geranium. It looks like one I received as a gift. Thanks for the lovely bag pattern. I think it will be one of our stitch together projects for this year.

Thank you. Look forward to making one to carry my stitching in.

I think I have just the right fabric for a bag like this. Thank you for a lovely project.

Dear Bronwyn,
I love jour pattern. I just seem to have a problem with printing page 2. I can't open it. My PDF reader crashes.
Thank you for your patters, I'm just bussy with the wishquilt. I also love is. I'm from Holland and is has been snowing last night. So your Geranium brings a bit of summer in the house.

Geraniums are always so bright & Cheerful. So cute that little bag - and the embroidery on the ric-rac is a perfect touch.

Will create fun.

Thank you, I love your designs and you are so generous to share them. This sewing basket is beautiful! ! !

How lovely, thanks so much! I'm in the Mid-Atlantic, US and I brought in my last, sad looking geranium in the fall. I kept it in the garage for about a month - completely ignored; and then, when it got really cold, brought it into the house, gave it a drink and ignored it some more. Since December it's bloomed twice and grown by leaps and bounds. It just loved the sunny window I've got it in. I just love having it and the taste of summer it gives me here in our cold and snowy winter.

Just gorgeous! You create the most beautiful projects. Thank you for sharing.

Lovely project, thanks Bronwyn

Thank you for this lovely project. Good end of week

merci pour le partage de ce joli panier, le porte ciseau fraise est aussi adorable :)
