Wish Quilt- Block Six.

  Family Christmas

Here we are at Block Six- with Brutus the Cat Stitchery.

  Hi stitching friends-

Not too far to go now before we finish the Wish Quilt.

I hope you are all getting excited.

Just before we begin- I thought I'd share these photos with you that were sent to me by Patti- a friend of ours in Ohio.

They're photos of her finished Mug Bag- and it's truly gorgeous!

Patti's now looking for a special mug to go in it.

Here's Patti's bag before she put the button on the front .....

Here it is with the button.

I've made two of these little Mug Bags.

They make a great gift for a friend or relative.

You can put a new mug in the bag as a gift and instead of tea - try a sachet of your favourite chocolate drink with a mint stick for stirring.

I have this gorgeous little one- cup teapot that I always take with me when I go away ( I know, a fanatical tea drinker!- it's better than those teabags in Motel rooms!)- and it just fits neatly into the mug bag!

Santa post large
                                                 Onto the Wish Quilt!

Here it is- Block six- You'll be stitching it all in redwork- and then putting a fabric frame around the stitchery as you did for the Teddy stitchery and Santa and Sleigh stitchery.

I bet you're getting pretty good at doing these frames by now!

Wish Quilt- Layout

Here's this weeks stitchery- but download the PDF version- the page     below is just to show you what the stitchery looks like.

There are two pages- P.24 is the one with the stitchery design and  P.25 shows how to make the frame around the stitchery.

Snowman and Kite
I sewed this kite - all by myself!

I just love this one!! Brutus is a favorite of mine! Looking forward to seeing what's coming up!

I am so pleased to see Brutus make an appearance in this quilt. I was hoping he would. I must say that I am finding the framing quite scary and haven't attempted it yet. I must be brave, I know.
