Merry Christmas...in July!
Yesterday we had the pleasure of celebrating Christmas! It may seem a strange celebration to those reading this in other countries, but in Australia, so we can get the feel of what a cold Christmas is like, many places are starting to put on Christmas celebrations in July. The middle of our winter!
The Girls and I are always up for a bit of celebrating..especially if it's Christmas!
So, the Girls and I travelled out to a small the small village of Robertson in an area known as the Southern Highlands of NSW, on a what was a very cold and blustery day where I had been told the Fountaindale Grand Manor had been turned into a Christmas Winter Wonderland. There were Christmas shops, music, beautiful Christmas garden displays, Christmas luncheons, lights, toyland window displays, A North Pole model railway, storytime, warm, inviting open fireplaces and to top it off- An outdoor ice-skating rink! The only thing missing was the snow...and it certainly felt like it might!
We had a lovely day celebrating Christmas, laughing, warming ourselves by the fire and generally enjoying the festivities...and of course we had to have a go on the ice! Such fun!
Here are some photos from the day...
It's always lovely to celebrate Christmas. It's my favourite time of the year.

Ha ha! I always think how weird it must be to have Christmas in the middle of summer - ITS JUST NOT RIGHT!! So this is a lovely idea for you down under folks. And how fabulous to have two Christmas celebrations a year. Your quilt looks absolutely gorgeous by the way.

Lovely! It made me look forward to proper Christmas! What a great idea....maybe we should do the same here. Just to know what Christmas would feel like in summer. Well, the rainy, humid, warmish kind of summer we are having here.....

J'aime la période de Noël aussi et je n'imagine pas cette fête sous le soleil mais pourquoi pas.
Les photos sont très belles.
