From my kitchen to yours :: Button Biscuit recipe
Remember last year I did a post on how to make Button biscuits?
Well, I thought that since I was talking about buttons this week, I would revisit the recipe idea and rejig it a bit.
If you'd like the recipe and instructions on how to make these button biscuits (or cookies for my US friends) then click here.
So, I decided that I wanted to make a whole heap of different varieties of buttons. I went through my kitchen drawers and found all sorts of interesting shapes. Different sized cookie cutters, cups, glasses...even the end of a rolling pin was used. I experimented, tested, cut and pressed all different ways of making button biscuits.
I think they turned out pretty effective, what do you think?
Maybe try a batch this weekend? See you next week!

They are really cute. Thank you for the recipe.
kisses from Spain.

They look very creative and tempting. You were very patient with the creative process. Think mine may have all ended up the same.

Hi Di,
If you go to my sidebar to the recipe section, click on that and then click on the original button recipe, then that will take you to the post with instructions and the recipe. You can use any vanilla biscuit recipe you like really. Be as creative as you like, I used straws, skewers, different sized glasses and cups, cookie cutters and even the end of the rolling pin. Sometimes I used the bottom of the glass/cup, sometimes the rim. Good luck and take some photos to share with us...
Hi Martha,
Have you tried contacting the magazine yourself? As the quilt was done as a magazine project for Homespun, I have to say try there first. You are also welcome to put a post on my facebook page asking if anyone has a copy that perhaps they could either send to you, or scan and email. If no luck try me again and I'll see I can help you further...
