Here we all are, on a wettish but sunny day for The Wedding!
The wedding was set for- 10.10 am on the tenth of the tenth, 2010!
With a wedding breakfast to follow.
The chapel was set in the grounds of one of the prestigious schools of the area- with gorgeous flowers and shrubs.
The bride arrived in style on the dot of ten past ten!
She had on the most stunning dress- all inlet with lace at the front.
Here's the groom looking very handsome in a grey morning suit.
There were plenty of Red Brolly representatives there.
Sanch ( The Red Brolly Computer Expert) and Pas with Baby Ava Darling.
Mother- who's the Red Brolly inspiration.
SJVH- Red Brolly stitcher extroardinaire, talking to the ring bearer.
David and Janet who beautifully quilt all my quilts.
........ and Jill, who has the most gorgeous house, which was featured on the Blog a short while back.
After the wedding ceremony- and some photos,it was a short walk around the corner for the Wedding Breakfast.
In through the door! (Don't you love the old wooden tiles?).
And- Hey- a room full of people! And Balloons.. and Champagne!
I have to tell you about the Bunting. ( Ooops- I mean THE Bunting).
Four hundred and forty four little flags- all sewn together with bias, totally made from left-over quilting fabric! All made by the Good Bunting Fairies.
They should have been quilted by David- the Bunting Quilter (see photo
no. 8)- but no-one could find him!
So the 444- had to be put up- with no quilting!
This is Bunting Fairy One (Chief Turner of the Points) and Bunting Fairy Two ( She who cuts and Sews).
Followed by Bunting Fairy Three- the Queen of the Bunting Fairies!
I also have to must mention- the beautiful patched tablecloth for the wedding cake.
The Bunting Fairies have done it again!
We all finished with a delicious breakfast of Champagne, sausages, scrambled eggs, toast, croissants......... more champagne....
And off to the Elephant Boy for some strong coffee.
