I'm Back!
Here's What's Been Happening- I've been madly writing and stitching two new projects for our Stitching with the (Red Brolly ) Girls at the Jukejema Quilting Barn in Nowra.
HERE IT IS ...... THE NOWRA BAG!
This is the first project we made- Very roomy bag with a large pocket for holding patterns and such on the inside.. and of course THE RED BROLLY GIRLS on the outside!
The second project was a STITCHER"S CLUTCH- a necessary hold- all for travelling- with pockets for holding everything and a place for pins and needles, and a scissors holder. The STITCHER"S CLUTCH fits neatly into a bag for travelling.
Here's me -off and away to Nowra on the beautiful South Coast (beaches, the river, lovely restaurants, fishing...).
Hmm- seemed to have collected a fellow traveller!
We went down into the Kangaroo Valley and up over the Cambewarra Mountains and then down to the sea! It was such a windey road I was beginning to feel a little car sick.
Finally, we arrived in Nowra.
Yes! You're right! That IS a bag of Scottish Shortbread from Nerida's Shop at Exeter.
Hmmm- I guess you've been there too? And to Brigadoon!
We put our belongings in the Motel room -and went off to find.... THE JUKEJEMA QUILTING BARN!
And here it is! Come and have a look inside.......
Isn't this lovely?
HEY! Here comes Kim to meet us! Hi Kim. Kim's the lovely owner of the Quilting Barn.
She's saying that the Stitching girls are here- so let's get started!
Hi Everyone! Ready to start?
They're all looking eager to begin!
Ummm- No Delma's not asleep- I think she blinked!
I know you'd like to know WHAT"S IN THE BAGS.
Of course- the theme of the Workshop being "Stitching with the Girls"- the bags that everyone took home HAD to be Red Hat Bags! The goodies inside the bags.... well....
Some beautifully iced Easter Biscuits made specially for the day by a celebrated cook I know. AND...
The pattern for the Nowra Bag, and The Stitcher's Clutch, my Favourite stitching Needle in a specially designed Needle Case, The Red Brolly Stitching Sisters Notepad,
and a really funky nail file with pictures of quilting things all over it!
This one's really cute! Hi there Kerry and Vicki. Love your aprons.
See the Red Brolly Girls on the front. How cute, eh? O.K.... I know you want to see them up close-
Isn't this a great idea? But wait! There's MORE!
Oops! Just remembered- I've got to put the dinner on! More about the Show and Tell tomorrow! (Isn't this exciting? Can't wait for tomorrow!)
