NOW THIS IS THE BEFORE SHOT OF THE DRESSER IN MY "DINIO" (DINING ROOM / STUDIO) WHICH IS FAIRLY MESSY ....

Oz Day003 copy
SORRY ABOUT THE LATENESS OF THIS POST! I MEANT TO DO IT LAST NIGHT BUT WAS SO ENGROSSED IN FINISHING THE PROJECT FOR HOMESPUN THAT I TOTALLY FORGOT!

SO.. SOME VERY HASTY DRAWINGS THIS MORNING!

ANZAC BISCUITS copy

DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO PAINT OR COLOUR- SO YOU HAVE THEM IN BLACK AND WHITE. BUT YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE RECIPE IF YOU WISH, AND KEEP IT IN YOUR BIKKY FILE.

KOOKABURRA BORDER

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE RECIPES- GOES WELL WITH BARBECUES (SOMETHING TO FINISH UP ON) OR WITH A CUP OF TEA OR COFFEE. IT REALLY NEEDS TO BE SOAKED OVERNIGHT IN TEA- MY APOLOGIES. SO HAVE IT TOMORROW AT WORK AS AN "AFTER AUSTRALIA DAY" CELEBRATION!

My New Avatar!

Me
Not really like me- or even what I particularly would like to look like.  But I'm using this image on the back of my patterns and books and anywhere else, to represent me. As in- this is what I do!

A Trip to the Country.

Off again last weekend for the Family Birthday Day.  January seems to be THE month for Birthdays in my family. So we decided to have the conglomerate birthday- a Bar-b-que in the Mist. It was a tad cold but the open fire brightened everyone up.

The following day we all went out for lunch and a bit of "follow-up".IMG_0054

A great place for open fires and grill your own steaks!

I managed to get in a bit of shopping!

IMG_2122

Here you'll find an Aladdin's store of gorgeous stuff- all the new Moda fabrics, Amy Butler and Kaffe Fassett. Plus goodies from Moda Homewares-throws, cushions, trinkets and all things to brighten your home!

IMG_2125

And believe it or not that building to the right- is a COFFEE SHOP!! Who could ask for anything more? Coffee AND fabric!

If you get the chance- call in and have a look- well worth it.

A Chat with Tracy.

The lovely Tracy from A tinkers Cart-    www.tinkerscart.typepad.com rang yesterday to chat about our upcoming day of fun and frivolity- and stitching.  Yes, mark those calendars- 19th June, dead of winter in Townsville! (No sweat this time!) Do you remember last year with Anni and Natalie- what a laugh!

  Teahouse Bag Front
Here's the Little Teahouse Bag we made-

You can stuff it with all sorts of sewing goodies- as it has heaps of pockets inside!

And how many of you managed to make the second project??

Rosebud purse

This Year- I'd like suggestions!  What sort of projects would you like to see on 19th June at the Tinkers Cart? Even if you're not coming- you can make suggestions.

A Big Thank-You!

Thank-you to everyone that gave me information on where to find those gorgeous little sewing tools.

Maria has given me the name of the person who actually makes them! But, as promised- all leads will be rewarded. So if those of you who gave an address and phone number send me your address (for privacy you can e-mail it to:  thebronwyn_hayes@hotmail.com )  I will post you out a "thank-you" gift. (Small).

January 17, 2010

Just a quick note- does anyone know where to get these cutesy little needlework accessories?? My dear sister in law bought me this one from a shop in Victoria- and can't remember the name. I (and others) are keen to stock these- any information leading to a solid lead will be gratefully rewarded!! Lynette has an unpicker the same- so there's a set apparently!
